My dear brother Knights:
We enter again into recalling and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, which is the very heart of the message of Hope that is proclaimed by Christmas. During this time we thank God the Father for the gift of his only Son, born at Bethlehem to set us free from the power of sin and death. I pray that during these days of Christmas and throughout the New Year you will be surrounded by the love of God and know his peace. Christmas is a time when our lives and our hearts are filled with the joy and love of simple blessings, especially the simple and yet profound blessings of family and friends. As that first Christmas found the Holy Family, Joseph, Mary and Jesus, near to one another, I hope these of days of Christmas will find you near to family and friends. As we celebrate the birth of the Lord, may you know God’s blessings and his presence with you. Among all the familiar things of Christmas, I also pray that you will hear a new Word of Joy, which will strengthen your faith and relationship to Jesus Christ! Merry Christmas and may you know God’s abundant blessings in the New Year!
